Description
The lighthouse from Twin Lakes/Seabright Beach looms in the foreground, while in the background the [Santa Cruz lighthouse] with some surfable waves running through steamers lane.
This shot, was taken close to the end of the jetty on the highest rock that I could find. A high zoom setting was used to fore-shorten the horizon and bring the Santa Cruz light-house closer into the camera's view. If you'll notice, in this shot the Santa Cruz lighthouse in the background is on the right, while two other photos, ([Sunset at Twin Lakes][Santa Cruz Twin Lakes Beach]) shot from the shore, the Santa Cruz lighthouse is barely discernable on the horizon in the background on the LEFT.
I'm tempted to go back and try-again with mazimum 10x zoom and a step-stool to get a little more height for a better vantage point.
I tooks this shot with my new (to me) Canon S1 IS, using the panorama feature, and a high zoom setting. No tripod. The picture was stitched using the included Canon stitch software.
